Documentary about Filipina au pairs
We are 2 journalists and a geographer currently making a short documentary for DANIDA (the Danish International Development Agency) on Filipinos who want to work as au pairs overseas. The documentary is aimed at informing the general public in Denmark about Filipinos, as to prevent stereotyping and malignant prejudice of au pairs. We are therefore looking for Filipinos who would be interested in talking about why they want to live and work abroad and show the Danish viewers what their life in the Philippines is like. More specifically, we are looking for 2 women: one who is already working in Denmark and who will be going home to the Philippines soon, and one who is in the Philippines and who is going to Denmark soon. We will be in the Philippines from July 1 - July 18 2010 to film the documentary and would very much like to visit you in your home-town and interview you on camera (you are welcome to speak whatever language you are most comfortable with, as we will make sure to have a translator present). We will compensate you 750 pesos/day for the inconvenience. If you know any women who might be interested in participating in this documentary, we would love to hear from you. Please check out the websites below for more information about us and our projects. We look forward to hearing from you here or via email or text!
